Layla is a wonderful young lady. She has been with us for a short while and is fitting right in. She has four Peimates and 3 of the kitty kind. She has only today started showing some sort of interest in the cats. She stretches long and hard to try to sniff without getting too close. She has pretty much ignored them this past week. She had a few tinkle accidents when she first arrived here, not out of the ordinary though. She was letting me know and I didn't know that was what she was doing. She has gotten the system figured out. She is currently not a fan of being in the crate/beddy, yet she chose to sleep in one the last two nights. I have left her out to roam the home while I have gone to pick my boys up from school (about 45 min) and she did well. No accidents and no kid toy destruction. When we arrived home she was a bit scared. She is very cautious with my husband (he is the one giving her meds) and anyone in large coats. She just stays back until we talk to her. She has been told "no" on couch visits but still tries. Despite having one of her toes removed she was running like a crazy girl today with her foster brother Clark. She is a very sweet girl and incredibly smart! She will be your best friend as she is already one of ours. |
