Meet
Barkley, a wonderful 5 year old neutered male whose owner passed away recently.
What we can tell you about Barkley: he gets along great with other females and most males, but he doesn’t always get along with dominant intact males, but he gets along great with younger intact males. He is very sweet, gets his feelings hurt easily, knows "sit" and "stay" commands, is housetraines and crate trained, minds very well. When Barkley came into the program, he had some skin issues, but with a proper diet, that has all clear up. He would do best as a house dog, and would love the company of another dog. He is not a barker or whiner, except when he wants something, like his play buddy or if he knows when his foster mom is home and wants her to come to the yard for attention. He is very gentle, takes treats gently also. He is not food agressive, or agressive in any way (except he likes to try to dominate the other boys). He'll make a very great pet - he is friendly to everyone. He doesn't dig or scratch in the yard or at the doors. |
