Thank you for your interest in the Chinese Shar-Pei breed, and in our rescue program. Rescue A Shar-Pei (RASP) was founded in 1992, and is dedicated to caring for and placing unwanted, abused, or homeless purebred Chinese Shar-Pei dogs into loving homes. The dogs usually available for adoption are adults; these dogs are carefully screened for their excellent temperaments and good health. These dogs are available to selected homes as pets, and must be spayed or neutered. The normal adoption fee is $275, which is used to help offset veterinary, boarding, transportation, food and other expenses.

We are committed to finding the best permanent homes for the rescued dogs we take into our program. The information requested in this application is vital in the determination that the dog and the people are suited for one another.

Once we have received your completed application, a member of the Committee will contact you for any additional screening.

Please be advised that we are volunteers. We all have full-time jobs, families, and animals of our own. Many of us work more hours doing rescue work than we do at our full-time jobs. While we make every effort to process applications and return phone calls/emails immediately, this may not always happen. Please, be patient with us. Emergency medical calls and calls about the safety of our animals take priority. We will respond to ALL applications submitted. Feel free to email us with any questions.
