RASP (Rescue A Shar-Pei) is a volunteer group with a concern for abandoned and abused Shar-Pei in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and surrounding areas. Our purpose is to place such Shar-Pei into quality homes where proper care and love will be provided for life.

FEATURED DOG:
Sophie
Sophie need a special loving home.

The dogs available for adoption are usually adults, although we occasionally get puppies; all of our rescue dogs are carefully screened for temperament and health. All dogs adopted are spayed or neutered. There is a standard adoption fee collected for each rescue dog which helps defray the costs to RASP. The standard fee is $275, but on rare occasions it may be more depending on RASP's costs to get the animal back on its feet. Each adopter will be required to fill out an adoption questionnaire. This information is used to best match the dog to the potential new home. A RASP member will follow-up on the dog periodically to help with any problems and to evaluate the animal's progress. We are also always looking for temporary foster homes. Please let us know if you would like to foster a Shar-Pei.
